What It Is: Match-Click is a video-driven recruiting platform designed to let employers give job candidates a preview of their new corporate environment and potential supervisor and co-workers, through short, 20-second video clips featuring hiring managers and would-be colleagues describing the position and the organization. The videos, which can be recorded with webcams or smart phones, also allow employers to include additional information about the company, job, career path, location and other distinctive aspects of job opportunities within the organization. Job openings are posted on the Match-Click job board, where employers can provide links to their sites as well. Candidates can search for jobs by specifying job title, location and keywords, as well as other employment factors such as schedule. The platform is designed to be mobile-friendly. Employers can purchase job postings per job or in bundles, at a discounted rate. For example, a single job posting costs $149, while 10 postings can be purchased at $99 apiece, with 100 postings costing $69 apiece.
Why We Like It: HR professionals and hiring managers are forever seeking ways to truly engage job candidates and help them feel a connection with the company from the first step of the application process. We think Match-Click helps users accomplish that. Many recruiting platforms simply offer text-based job descriptions that outline the position itself, but reveal nothing about the company and the candidate's would-be coworkers. But the friendly, informal videos on the Match-Click site enable applicants to virtually meet the people they would work with as well as their prospective supervisors. We also like that the platform offers a smooth and intuitive experience for mobile users, which is a critical component of any successful recruiting platform in 2014.
