What It Is: Onboardia is a web-based "Day One" training program for temporary employees designed to shorten their time to productivity on the first day of a new job. The program supplies a pre-written training template with topics that clients can add, edit and rearrange to suit and instantly create their own streamlined internal training program. It also includes customizing features to allow users to upload company logos, policies, images, video and other attachments, as well as written sign-offs to document acceptance and agreement of training topics and policies. Pricing starts at $500 for an annual subscription-based model with a one-time initiation fee of $795 and an additional $100 per year for each library that is added.
Why We Like It: Created by a U.S. Navy veteran with more than two decades of HR experience onboarding short-term workers, this "virtual boot camp" is the only one we know of on the market made specifically for temporary employees. We especially like the straightforward simplicity of design that allows temporary workers to quickly digest and understand what's expected of them, and the multiple sign-offs provide organizations with necessary documentation for compliance and policy issues. And, while it is certainly effective as a stand-alone onboarding program, it can also incorporate a firm's payroll and benefits functions as well.
