Peter Stern

Chief People Officer, Time Warner Cable Inc.

Time Warner Cable Inc., headquartered in New York, has appointed Peter Stern as its new chief people officer. In addition to leading corporate human resource functions, Stern oversees the development of the company's home- security and home- automation business.

Since joining Time Warner as senior vice president of strategic planning in 2004, Stern has helped the company introduce new products such as digital- cable feature Start Over as well as various applications and websites. Stern was a principal at consulting firm McKinsey & Co. before joining Time Warner.

Stern holds a juris doctorate from Yale Law School and a bachelor's degree in a double concentration of music and English from Harvard University.
