The editors of Human Resource Executive® announce their choices for the top HR products of 2012, with winning solutions touching on areas such as candidate screening, performance management, coaching and workforce analytics.
Welcome to our 2012 Top HR Products winners. Once again, as in years past, the number of entries we received and the types of challenges they aim to solve suggest companies are still gearing up for growth and vendors are still revving up their efforts to help them.
Common themes, or solutions, among entries this year show an increasing emphasis on talent management -- and recruiting, in particular. Winners reflect a newer breed of sophisticated yet simple tools hitting the market, designed to help organizations remove some of their key pain points as they look to identify the right internal and external talent needed to take them where they want to go.
There is also -- no surprise -- an increasing emphasis on mobile applications, giving users the ability to access these new systems and processes anytime, anywhere. That trend shows no sign of stopping.
Winners this year were selected after a lengthy judging process by the magazine's editorial board with help from outside experts and analysts. (To be considered, products had to be released between July 2011 and June 2012.)
In our estimation, the products you'll find in the next few pages are the best of the solutions we received, and can -- we think -- not only deliver on their promises but also make HR's job a little easier. As always, though, we encourage you to perform your own due diligence before making any investments.
