Apparently, gender discrimination can rear its ugly head at any organization, even if its head is a woman. According to various media outlets, including the New York Times, Janet Napolitano's Department of Homeland Security is the target of a federal discrimination and retaliation lawsuit after a male official at the Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency says he was passed over for a high-level position in the agency in favor of a less-qualified woman because he was a man.
According to a Reuters account, the lawsuit "is instructive to employers as it not only involves a role reversal of men suing women, but also includes both complaints of verbal sexual harassment and discriminatory treatment."
