We Need to Get Past Diversity/Training

I am responding to an Aug. 20 HREOnline? news analysis titled "Calling All White Men (to Diversity Training)."

It is time for "white males," as they are referred to, to stand up and say, "Enough of this type of political correctness." We do not need this kind of social castration in our society. Our country was founded on principles of equality, or did people not learn this in school? We may need to be reminded that "all men are created equal" from time to time, but we do not need to have our employers get into the act.

What we always did need rather than committing suicide over the fact that we're not perfect is to concentrate on the opposite of diversity. "He ain't heavy, he's my brother" is really about getting past diversity, not celebrating it. "Color blind" was always a better idea than victimhood.

What's next, are they going to put all of us white guys in concentration camps?
