These notes are in response to The Labor Market Bites Chinese Factories.

China sounds like the United States during the 1910-20 and 1930-40 periods where union growth was high, largely in response to poor wages and unsafe/poor working conditions. This begs the question of whether the current labor law and unionization environment is positioned to come to the aid of the factory workers???
