A Kenexa High Performance Institute WorkTrends report, Engagement Levels in Global Decline, finds that employee engagement has been generally declining, but that some individual companies were able to enhance engagement by improving organizational performance.
Specifically, according to the report, "organizations with high employee engagement levels outperform the low-engagement counterparts in several key areas including total shareholder return and higher annual net income."
