The editors of Human Resource Executive® announce their picks for the top HR products of 2011, including solutions for time-and-attendance, wellness participation, recognition and the increasing use of mobile technology and social media.
Every year, HRE's annual list of Top HR Products seems to serve as a "sign of the times" in latest technological applications for the HR profession. This year, as always, simplicity and ease-of-use won out over "busy-ness" and creating more bells and whistles than the tool really needs.
Simple solutions for time-and-attendance, wellness participation and recognition lead the parade of winners this year, with the latter tool getting our additional kudos for its app-first, web-second design.
The increasing use of mobile technology and social media is also well-reflected in this year's batch of winners. Two tools are being recognized this year for leveraging Facebook in the recruiting space for the first time.
This year's winners were selected after a lengthy judging process by the magazine's editorial board with help from outside experts and analysts. (To be considered, products had to be released between July 2010 and June 2011.)
Bear in mind that the products featured in the next few pages are, in our estimation, the best of the solutions we received, capable of delivering on their promises and making HR's job easier. Remember, as always, to do your own due diligence before licensing or purchasing any of them.
