Steve Denault was named senior vice president of human resources and communications at Country Financial, a financial-services company based in Bloomington, Ill.

Denault served as vice president of human resources at the company since 2006, and has held a series of increasingly senior human resource positions since he began with the company in 1992.

He holds a master's degree in agricultural economics from the University of Illinois and received an undergraduate degree from Illinois State University. He received the Chartered Life Underwriter designation, is a Certified Compensation Professional and holds a certificate in strategic human resource management from Cornell University.
