In November 2006, Swift & Co. went to federal court seeking an injunction that would stop the impending raids by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement at its plants.

Swift issued press releases about ICE's raid on the plant and about its return to work. In addition, it disclosed the company's legal filing seeking to stop the raid and the judge's eventual ruling against the company.
