Staffing and Recruiting Software

TalentSecure has released version 2.0 of its staffing and recruiting software. The new version includes an enhancement of its sales tracking and lead-generation tool.

Version 2.0 includes updated e-mail capabilities designed to streamline internal communications and decrease the likelihood of outgoing e-mails being blocked by spam filters. RSS feeds are also available for distribution of critical data to team members, clients and candidates.

The new version also integrates with commonly used software systems including: Outlook, Careerbuilder.com job boards, ADP payroll, Quickbooks, Microsoft Dynamics accounting management, and Screening Solutions.

Emergency Preparedness

Mastery Technologies Inc. has released an interactive safety course called Emergency Preparedness to prepare employees for unexpected events and crises at work.

Available on the Web or CD, the course offers 24 interactive video vignettes to train workers on how to reduce property damage and theft, as well as reduce injuries when workers are confronted with earthquakes, tornadoes, hurricanes and other unplanned occurrences at work.

Single copy costs $495. Pay-per-view fee is $14.95.

Recruiting Solution

Authoria introduced a new version of its recruiting solution, with upgrades in tracking and measuring quality-of-hire metrics.

New features include BlackBerry and Microsoft Outlook-compatible e-mail forms designed for tasks such as approval of draft requisitions, obtaining feedback from interviews and approval of job offers. Job descriptions can now include pre-screening questions created by HR or based on data from specialist providers.

A new requisition creation wizard now provides hiring managers with a three-step process for creating a new requisition.

The law firm of Fisher & Phillips LLP launched its global immigration practice. The new specialized practice handles immigration and emigration needs for clients ranging from large multinational corporations to small businesses.

The practice provides advice and guidance to employers regarding employment verification, immigration-related discrimination and immigration, tax and employment-related laws and regulations. It also provides software for I-9 compliance.
